The Daily Prophet
The Wizarding World’s Beguiling Broadsheet of Choice
In our centuries of journalistic experience we have learnt that the only way to keep our world safe is to work together. Wizards, Unite!
The Calamity, and the Ministry’s lies
We live in dangerous times. A strange event, known as The Calamity is causing traces of magic to appear in the Muggle world. According to the Ministry, this puts us all in terrible danger of exposure.
This could very well be another move from the Ministry to manipulate us. To keep witches and wizards confused, cowering in fear, pliant.
Which is one of the main reasons why our own journalists have joined the Statute of Secrecy ranks. Because we owe our readers the scoop on what is happening behind the scenes.
The Daily Prophet, unbiased news
In one of our latest issues we reported the Ministry could be working with Muggle authorities. Their intent seems to be to secure the safety and secrecy of the Task Force while they work in Muggle areas. They plan to use Muggle phones and a ‘game‘ called Wizards Unite to do so.

We have also covered the traces of magic in the Muggle world that have been made public and, despite the Ministry’s attempt to silence us, a theory of our own about who might be behind these events.
