Did you play the inaugural Spotlight Events last month? No? Don’t know what Spotlight Events are? Then read on to learn more!

And if you did play them last month you’ll still want to keep reading, just to find out what’s in store for this month.

Last month we saw a couple of Spotlight Events in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, a casual, experimental event for players. This month brings similar events. The game developers are still experimenting and trying out some new features to enhance the gameplay.

The timing of this month’s Spotlight Events has shifted to be later in the day. While this could be due to player feedback from the inaugural events, it’s also possible that the timing will be different each time to accommodate different player schedules. (Not everyone works a 9-5, Monday to Friday schedule).

So let’s explore this month’s Spotlight Events. These events will focus on Foundables from the Weasley family.

If you want to watch a video, check this out from James of XpectoGO.

Tonic for Trace Detection Spotlight Event

The Tonic for Trace Detection Spotlight Event will be a 7-hour event. During this time frame, using a Tonic for Trace Detection will boost certain types of Foundables on the Map.

Note: These events will occur in your local time.

This month’s Tonic for Trace Detection Spotlight Event will be on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, from 5:00 pm to 11:59 pm in your local time. The boosted Foundables will be:

  • Arthur Weasley (Ministry of Magic: Courtroom Ten)
  • Fred Weasley (Legends of Hogwarts: Room of Requirement V)
  • George Weasley (Legends of Hogwarts: Room of Requirement V)
  • Quidditch Keeper Ron (Magical Games and Sports: Hogwarts Quidditch Pitch)
  • Young Ginny Weasley (Legends of Hogwarts: Room of Requirement I)

These Foundables should be roughly half of the Traces revealed by your Tonic for Trace Detection.

You can utilize this event to either Prestige your page to Gold or just place the completed Images on the page to get Ministry Manuals.

Knight Bus Spotlight Event

The Knight Bus Spotlight Event will also be a 7-hour event. During this time frame, you can get guaranteed Challenge Fragments by successfully completing the Wizarding Challenges in certain Chambers.

Note: These events will occur in your local time.

This month’s Knight Bus Spotlight Event will be on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, from 5:00 pm to 11:59 pm in your local time. The guaranteed Challenge Fragments and the Chambers that you can receive them in are listed below:

  • Extendable Ears from Tower Chamber V (Challenges: Joke Products I)
  • U-No-Poo from Forest Chamber V (Challenges: Joke Products II)
  • Skiving Snackbox from Dark Chamber V (Challenges: Joke Products III)

To earn these Challenge Fragments, the player who starts the Chamber must have the event active in their local time.

As many players have already pointed out, the guaranteed Challenge Fragments are not nearly as enticing as last month’s guaranteed Exploration Fragments.

As always it would be great your thoughts on these Spotlight Events. Please leave your thoughts in the comments below.
