The Daily Prophet
The Wizarding World’s Beguiling Broadsheet of Choice
Ministry Public Service Avoidance
Although the Ministry finally decided to address the incidents surrounding The Calamity, they still refuse to tell the whole truth. They haven’t released extensive, credible reports about the attack our journalist suffered during the Ministry’s New Year’s Eve Ball. There have been no investigation regarding the origin of the riderless Nimbus and who was behind it. In fact, our reporters have been threatened for insinuating Golden Harry Potter and his family might have something to do with the incident.
“There is only one wizarding newspaper in Britain, discounting such small circulation publications such as The Quibbler. The Daily Prophet, whose headquarters are in Diagon Alley, is delivered by owl on a daily basis to nearly every wizarding household in Britain.“
The Daily Prophet has been producing papers since 1743. We are famous for speaking the truth when no one else will. Always unbiased and fearless, Daily Prophet reporters go where no others dare to go in search of the latest information in the wizarding world. Click To Tweet
That is why we cannot allow the Ministry to keep us in the dark any longer. We feel now it is our duty to share what we know with our faithful readers.
Our Task Force Sources and Resources
Many of our reporters have enlisted and will provide inside coverage of the Special Task Force program. We will endeavour to keep our readers informed on any and all new developments regarding The Calamity.
As we mentioned in a previous article, the Ministry created a new Task Force meant to deal specifically with The Calamity and called on all witches and wizards to enlist (you are free to do so here.) Among the new recruits are several of our reporters. They are currently undergoing the Ministry training program to become part of this Task Force. They are our most reliable source of information, the best way to know what the Ministry knows.
It was through them that we discovered the Ministry was working with Muggle governments to develop a Muggle Wizards Unite App to help track down traces of magic without risk of exposure. We also discovered there is new Calamity-related footage the Ministry is planning to release soon.
But in times of uncertainty and danger, sometimes even our reporters aren’t enough. That is why we need your help.
If you have any information or have witnessed traces of Magic inside or outside the wizarding world please contact us. You may use our Owl Post service below (Howlers will be disposed of unopened) to share your experience.
Moreover, we have recently began a new column in our daily paper where you can leave questions about The Calamity, the Wizards Unite App, Muggle Mobile Phones or anything else you might like to know.
We will be sure to answer fast and in full detail. You can leave your questions right here:In our centuries of journalistic experience we have learnt that the only way to keep our world safe is to work together. Wizards, Unite! Click To Tweet
