Wizards Unite Event Walkthrough: Fighting Forces I ✨

brilliant event fighting forces

It’s almost time for the new Wizards Unite Event to begin! This will, once more, be a two-part event, although this time we know what to expect and how the two parts will work together. Here’s a rundown of the tasks, the rewards and the Foundables we will come across during the Fighting Forces I Brilliant Event.

Fighting Forces I Brilliant Event

Lasting an entire week (from October 8th to October 14th), this will be the first part of the Fighting Forces Brilliant Event (with the second part running from October 22nd to October 28th). This event will let us complete the first page of the event Registry and also get some more of those precious restricted books that are holding our professional careers back.

So let’s get started!

The Fighting Forces Event tasks

Just like in all previous events, this one will be split into four parts. Every task will have its own reward, with a larger reward once each of the four parts are completed. This is where we will get our Restricted Section books, along with Brilliant Foundables, event XP and much more. Let’s take a closer look at those tasks.

Our take on the tasks

There are quite a few changes here compared to the previous events. In general, it seems this first part of the event should be much less time-consuming than in previous instances. Just like last time, Portkeys for the Event will be 3km, which should make getting through them much faster. But on top of that there’s only one task that relates to Portkeys, it’s in part 4/4 and only requires us to open one Brilliant Portkey. With a bit of careful planning and some awareness of how long it takes us to walk three kilometres, it should ot be too difficult to time that Portkey to open once we get to part four. And in any case, we have an entire week to get through it.

The Potions

Another change we noticed is that this Event is quite specific when it comes to Potions.

There is a task in part 1/4 that requires us to use a Tonic for Trace Detection. The issue here will come for those who don’t have any Tonic ready and are out of Erumpent Horn, the most rare of its ingredients, since it only appears in Portkeys and even then it doesn’t do so often.

In this case, keep in mind that you can get a Tonic in Diagon Alley for 60 Gold Coins (six days of Daily Tasks are enough to cover it if a Niffler stole all your gold). The Erumpent Horn itself costs 30 Gold Coins and you need two for the Tonic, so if you’re out we recommend buying the Potion and not the Ingredients, since it will cost the same (assuming you’re only missing the Horn) but will save you the 7 hours of brewing time. Since the tasks asks us to use and not to brew, you can start working on this now.

We will also need to use 5 Healing Potions for part 2/4 and 5 Exstimulo Potions in part 3/4. They don’t specify which type of Exstimulo, so we hope all of them will work. The Exstimulo task is in the same part as the Wizarding Challenge ones, so it shouldn’t be a problem.

There is one more task related to Potions. In part 2/4 we need to brew 4 Potions. There is a way around this, as we mentioned a few times before. In the game, collecting a potion is considered brewing. So fill up your cauldron and leave a full queue. Make sure to check brewing time so that the last of the four Potions will be completed when the event starts. Make sure you don’t collect any of them until you reach Part 2/4. It’s important to remember that, once a potion is completed, you won’t be able to add anything to the queue until you collect it, so it’s important to leave a full queue before Potion 1 is finished.

Portkeys

Another thing worth mentioning. Portkeys from the Brilliant Event Part I will always yield a Part I Foundable (in this case Ollivander in chains). So keep that in mind and make sure you don’t fill up your queue or leave them unopened, or you might run out of room and waste time when Part II begins. (For Part II we will need to open 6 Brilliant Portkeys in total).

Fortresses

Just like in the last event, we don’t have to defeat a specific foe when it comes to wizarding challenges. Playing four times is enough. But this might be a good chance to play with some friends and complete the SOS Mission: Complete 3 Wizarding Challenges with 3 Friends. Especially now that they fixed the bug. And if you’re still working on it remember: 3 players total, not three plus you.

As for the Brilliant Runestones, remember those will yield Part I fragments until Part II starts. Then during Part II week you will get Part II fragments from those same Runestones. After that, they will yield Part I and II randomly when you use the Runestone. But these Runestones give you Family XP and every time we rank up we get 5 more scrolls, so get as many as you can. You can keep using them until the next event is about to begin.

Fighting Foes Part I Special Goodies

These Oddities will have an increased likelihood of appearing on the map:

  • Death Eater (NEW)
  • Azkaban Escapee (NEW)
  • Pixie
  • Erkling

Exstimulo Potions and Health Potions will brew 25% faster during the event. This will only apply to potions that start brewing after the event starts. So if you have one of these on the queue beforehand it will not go faster. But as we mentioned before, we do recommend having 4 Potions ready to collect before the event.

There will be a Free Diagon Alley Bundle for us to grab once the event starts. It will contain one Spell Book and 15 Spell Energy. Also remember, if you have a Sponsored Fortress nearby do give it a visit. They now include Spell Energy as a reward for completing a Wizarding Challenge.

Tasks Rewards Summary

As for the reward, if we complete every task we will get:

  • 2050 XP
  • 95 Brilliant Family XP
  • 25 Dark Arts Family XP
  • 20 Oddities Family XP
  • 2 Brilliant Foundables
  • 1 Death Eater Lens
  • 2 Ministry ID Frames
  • 1 Full Moon Sticker
  • 1 Troll Sticker
  • 15 Restricted Section Books
  • 3 Spell Books

Brilliant Event Tips

Here are a few tips to keep in mind before and during the event.

  • Brew your Potions in advance.
  • Get ingredients to brew Healing and Exstimulo Potions (25% faster during Event)
  • Use Trace Detection Tonic if you have it. It will help you find Oddities and Brilliant Traces on the map.
  • If you can, try to start the event with full energy. It will make the first day go much better.
  • Find an area with enough Inns and Greenhouses to move between. Remember the 5 minute waiting period.
  • Master your spells. And most importantly, remember the game values speed over accuracy.
  • Try to level up the game, but don’t go all out with your profession. It’s your game level (and your ability to trace spells) that determines whether or not you defeat a Confoundable. You might want to save some scrolls for when you get those shiny Restricted Section Books and plan where to spend them when you’re done with the event.
  • On the other hand, your attack power for Oddities will depend on your Profession. Spend some scrolls there if you have them.
  • Make room in your vaults for ingredients and potions.
  • We’re all sure to meet some new Potterheads during the week. What better way to make new friends and possibly new teammates for your next Fortress incursion? Don’t be shy and reach out!
  • And the most important one: Have fun! (And try to convert as many Muggles as possible!)

That’s what we have for today, so go play!

Make sure you’re ready to make the most of the event, add your Friend Code to our map if you haven’t yet. You can also have a look around the map and find players in your area!

We also have a Local Community Map where you can add your Wizards Unite Communities for other players to find you!
