After a few Calamity-related technical issues, we’re back online and ready to tell you all about this month’s events. We’re quickly becoming accustomed to Wizards Unite keeping us busy all through the month, but this time we’re not just getting events, we’re getting new Foundables too! While details are still a little scarce here’s a look at what’s happening this month and when.
March Madness kicks off with some werewolf-battling. This month the full moon falls on March 9th, just before the first event. This means that from March 7th to March 11th we will find some rowdy werewolves skulking around Muggle areas who need some serious battling.
Circus Calamitous I Brilliant Event
March 9th to March 17th
This month’s Brilliant Events will focus on Circus Arcanus, the magical circus from the 1920s we saw in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
Although there aren’t many details available yet, we know we’ll be running into some beasts we’ve never seen in the game before, such as the Zouwu and what seems to be an older version of the Young Graphorn from our Magizoology Registry Page.
March Community Day
The official description for this month’s Community Day is: Find the hidden Room of Requirement and assist Fred and George Weasley, as well as other members of Dumbledore’s Army.
There are several Room of Requirement Pages in our Registry, so it’s hard to tell at the moment which Foundables we’ll focus on or how rare they are. In fact, all we know for certain is that Fred and George will be part of the event. Which is great, since they are quite hard to find on the map. This might be a great chance to get a few more Fragments and place the Twins in the Registry.
Important: This month’s Community Day will not be a global event. Instead, it will be postponed for players in Japan, North Korea and Italy. We’re guessing this decision was made for safety reasons given the spread of Covid19 in those countries. There’s no information yet on when the Community Day will happen for those players.
Circus Calamitous II Brilliant Event
March 24th to March 31st
The second part of this Brilliant Event will bring us even more Fantastic Beasts, including the creepy Kappa and Nagini herself, though not in her human form.
Here’s hoping we’ll see a new Magizoology Registry Page soon and these new beasts will become part of our normal Foundable roster.
Magical Mischief Event
March 31st to April 2nd
Messrs, Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs are proud to present this year’s Magical Mischief Event.
And who better to join us than the Marauders themselves? Except perhaps the Weasley Twins, though they will surely be busy planning their Birthday Bash (and recovering after Community Day).
Starting just as the Brilliant Event Part II comes to a close, this mini event will bring us some new Foundables: The young Marauders. Since this is not a Brilliant Event we will probably get a new Registry Page just before this goes live, so do keep an eye out and update your game (and download the new assets) in time so you can enjoy these four new Foundables.
And that’s what’s happening this month
It seems the Calamity isn’t taking any time off, and neither should we. How are you managing these busy months? Are you as excited about these events as we are? I have to be honest, I’m most excited about the new Foundables. Even though we recently got some formerly-rare Oddities showing up on our maps more often (the Azkaban Escapee, the Death Eater and little Fluffy) it’s always great to find new characters and beasts roaming our Muggle streets.
So grab your wands, witches and wizards, brush up on your most powerful spells (and curses) and help keep the Calamity in check!
Make sure you’re ready to make the most of this busy month, add your Friend Code to our map if you haven’t yet. You can also have a look around the map and find players in your area!
We also have a Local Community Map where you can add your Wizards Unite Communities for other players to find you!
